Last post from

Hello everyone!

This is probably the last time I will email all of you from the other side of the world.....haha its been so great. I have been just full of so many mixed emotions. Its been one of the most interesting times for me trying to decide whether I am happy to go  home or sad. Its just split right down the middle. Its going to be a great time going home, being able to see family and friends and ride my motorcycle again...but at the same time its going to be really hard to say goodbye to all of the amazing people I have met out here.

All I can say is that I am working hard until the very end. I have loved every minute of this mission and wouldn't trade it for anything. Thanks for all of your guys' support and prayers.

See you all soon!

Mixed emotions

Hello everyone!

I just am going to have to apologize ahead of time because I don't have that much time left to write this letter, but I just wanted to write and let you all know that I am still doing great!

Its been a really interesting time of my mission being so close to going home. There are so many mixed emotions going on in my mind all the time. I am getting really really excited to get home and get back to my life there, but I am also going to be really sad to leave the Philippines. Its coming up quick. I have 3 weeks left. The work is going great. We have so much progress in our area right now. We have set 5 baptisms before I go home. Its really amazing. Such a blessing.

I have learned a ton and am excited to tell you all about it! I will see you all soon! Have a great week!

Last transfer

Hey everyone!

How was your week? This week was an eventful one for me here in Carcar. This was Elder Sorianos last week here in the mission and we were really busy getting him all set and ready to go home. I am going to miss him a lot. He has helped this area and the people here a ton. Transfer calls came lastnight and I found out that my new companion is E. Tejada. I am super super excited for it, even though I don't know him, I have heard great things about him. So this is how my mission is going to end. Here in Carcar, making this my longest area of my mission. By the time August comes around I will be here for 6 months. I am super excited to continue working here. We have had some awesome success and progress here lately as well. It gives me hope and excitement that I will end my mission well.

We had 8 investigators come to church this last week, which is so awesome. We have been teaching them and are so happy that they are making progress. I am stoked to give it my best for these last 6 weeks of my mission. Go hard and then go home right? haha

Love you guys!

Miracles are possible

Hey Guys!

We had a great last couple of weeks here in Carcar City, Cebu. We have been staying pretty busy getting ready for the baptism we had last week. We were able to see our efforts come through when our investigators were baptized by some of the young men that we recently brought back into activity. It was such a good experience for all of us. It was even cooler to hear the testimony of brother Shinon and to see his happiness to be able to be together with his family in the true church.

We have been finding new people to teach as well. We have some really good progression happening here. It makes me so excited to see, and makes me happy to have hope of ending my mission on a good strong note.

I know that its only through trusting in God that miracles are possible. It feels like a miracle to me that I have been able to make it this far in my mission. I know that its only through the help of Heavenly Father.

I am getting excited to see you all here pretty soon! End of August....put it on your calendar :)

Love you all,

***********

Hello everybody!

How have you guys been these last couple weeks?? I have been doing super awesome and really busy. We have had a lot of things going on that have kept us running and running all the time. Its been really good though. We are still teaching our investigator, Brother Shinon. He is making so much progress and its really amazing to see him start to understand the things we teach. He has really made a step in the right direction this last week. He is keeping his commitements and doing great. We are getting ready for his baptism this month on the 25. After that we also will be helping a family get their records remade, because something happened that their records got lost. So we are working with them to get them all updated and cleaned up.

We had a great Zone Leader Council yesterday with the Area President of the Philippines, Elder Ardern. He came and talked to us and gave a great workshop. I learned a ton from him. I really really enjoy all of the things I have been learning out here on my mission. I feel like I have become a new and better person out here. Its really amazing. The Gospel brings the true joy and happiness that everyone wants and needs in there life. The hard part is to understand it and see the bigger picture. Our Heavenly Father has given us everything we need to be successful and happy, we just have to find it, accept it, and live it.

I love you guys all so much! I hope everyone has a great week!

First 12 weeks - Last 12 weeks

Hello everyone!

I hope you all had a great week! We had a great one here in the best area of Carcar! We have been really busy this last week and a lot has happened. Like I have said in my last emails we have been working a lot lately with less actives in our area. We have been teaching a few different families and have seen tons of progress as a lot of them have come back to church for a few times in a row now. We are also teaching a part member family the Amistad family. The father has been a member for a while now and his daughter is a member. We are teaching his 15 year old son, Shinon, and have a baptismal date set for him on June 25. We are excited to help him get ready for his baptism. He is a great kid and it will be awesome for their whole family to be members!

We had a great zone conference last week where I was able to see a few of some friends here in the mission. I can't believe how fast the time is flying by. I am now at the start of the last 12 weeks of my mission. I remember back to how fast my first 12 weeks went when I was in training and it makes me scared that my mission is going to be over before I now it! I am having the best time out here! I have learned so much and grown a lot. I am excited to come home, but at the same time not. But its all good I still have 2 transfers to give it everything I have.

I love you guys! I hope you are all doing great! Stay strong and continue doing the things that will make our Heavenly Father proud!

Love you all!

Sorry for slacking

Hey everyone!

Sorry that I have been so bad about emialing a weekly email lately. We have been so busy with different activities and things to do on P-day I have been really bad at budgeting my email time. But this last two weeks has been great! We are spending a ton of time teaching less active families. We are seeing a ton of success as well. We have had two families we are teaching come back to church for two weeks in a row now! So we are really excited about that. We also have another young kid preparing for baptism in June! His name is Shinon. He is 15 and is the last one of his family to become a member. We are so excited to help him progress as well!

I know this is short, I promise I will make up for it next week. I just wanted to send something out for you guys. Pictures next time as well!

I love you all have a great week!

Mother's Day

We had a great visit with McKay on Mother's Day.  The Skyping session was actually decent this time.  Especially after we found out that a cell phone worked a lot better than the old iPad.  McKay is doing very well.  He definitely has a accent and he believes that Keagan suddenly has one too and sounds like a "hick".  It was pretty funny.  Keagan was just talking normal.  He didn't write a formal letter this week, but wanted us to thank everyone for all the support and to let you all know that he missed you.  He is on the downhill slope.

Good Times and Bad

Hello everyone!

How is everyone doing this week? I hope you are all doing great. I had a great week this last week. We have been working a lot lately teaching a lot of members and trying to get them involved in the work as well. We have been teaching a really good couple, the Aldaya family. They are really good, they are really really willing to read and learn about the gospel. Our baptism for brother Tingloy Racho went really really well. It was such a cool experience to watch our Bishop baptize one of his best friends. It was really cool because they have been together through the good times and the bad and now they are both members of the church and working together in the best way.

I am loving life. Its been so dang hot lately, we are in the later end of summer but its not showing any sign of cooling down. It hasn't rained here in over like 2 and a half months straight. Which is amazing for the Philippines haha. Its crazy. But life is great. I am doing awesome. I hope you are all doing great!

Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Hey guys!

I hope everyone had a great week! Me and Elder Wilson have had one of the best ones so far here in Carcar! We have made it a goal recently to try and refresh our teaching pool and find new people to teach and explore new areas. So our days have been filled with lots of tracting and just good ole knocking doors. We have had some pretty awesome experiences with finding new people as well. It is really amazing to see the hand of the Lord in the work.

We have been teaching about the Restoration of the Gospel so much lately and everytime we do my testimony is strengthened about it. It is such a blessing to know and understand the Restoration. God loves us so very much and only wants us to be happy in this life. The only way for us all to be happy for ever and ever is through understanding and living His gospel. I am so happy to help people find it every single day. I hope you all continue to strengthen your testimonies and then help strengthen others. Love you all so much! Have a great week!

Love,

Siopao making

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone had a great week! Sorry I have been kinda bad about writing a weekly letter lately....I have gotten bad at managing my time one the computer haha. But This last week has been a great one for me here in Carcar. Me and Elder Wilson are doing great. Two weeks ago we had a baptism for Sister Pasita, which was a great baptism. This last week we have been teaching this part member family that has been preparing for baptism for a long time now. Brother Jurry and his daughter. We taught them and finally got them interviewed and they are ready to go for this Saturday. We are so excited for them.

We were able to help Brother Jurry to make some siopao, which is like a wierd bread thing with meat in the middle of it. We helped him make it so he could take it and sell it around town. It was a great service project. We enjoyed it.

We are looking forward to listening to General Conference this upcoming weekend. Its killing us because of the anticipation haha. I have heard that it was really really good, so we are excited. I hope everyone is doing great! Have a great week!
