No change at transfers

Hello everyone!

How was your guys week? I had another fast and eventful one here in Mabini. Our week started out pretty rough because I got really really sick all of a sudden on Thursday afternoon and it lasted all the way through Saturday morning. We ate at a restaurant thing on Thursday for lunch and I think that I ate something that got me sick but its all good the good thing is that I am better now! So we couldn't work at all on Friday. But then starting on Monday, we have had nonstop rain and high winds. Its been a very very wet, cold, muddy last few days! It has been quite the fun. We had our investigator interviewed last night for his baptism this Saturday. He did great. His name is brother JR, a 15 year old kid that is super super funny hahah. I am so happy that he is going to be baptized this saturday.

We got transfer calls this last week, and found out that there is no changes to our companionship! I am pretty stoked about it because Elder Aquino and I get along great. He will be my only companion that I have had for more than one transfer since I was being trained by Elder Craven. lts going to be great.

I hope you are all doing well! Stay strong and know that I miss and love you all! Keep doing what you know to be right and never doubt it!

I hope she will remember what she knows to be true

Hello everyone

I hope you all had a great week! I had another quick but good one. We had a baptism this last week which was great it went super well. We were so happy because we had a good amount of people come and support and it turned out well. We are preparing for another baptism coming up on the 30 of January.

We visited one of our recent converts this week and found out that she had gotten in an argument with another member and she was really really sad and she told us that she wasn't going to come to church anymore. Me and elder Aquino were really really sad because she told us that she knew that the church was true and that she knew she needed to endure to the end but that she was choosing not to. We had a good lesson with her and encouraged her to stay in the church and just remember what is most important...her relationship with Jesus Christ. I hope as we continue visiting her that she will remember what she knows to be true.  I love you guys and I hope you all have a great week!

I am still learning so much

Hello everyone!

I had a great week this last week. We had some good progress happen in our area. We were able to spend time looking for some less active members and what not so it was good. We actually found a ton of families in one of our areas that we have been working a lot in latley! So we are excited to see about how they progress and how we can help them get back to church.

My cold and cough that I have had for a long time now is starting to go away finally so that is good! Me and Elder Aquino are doing great. I love him, we are like the best of friends.

I am still learning so much out here and improving everyday. Its crazy how much things have changed from my perspective. Its all for the better.  I love you all! Have a safe and great week! Talk to you soon!

Better than dirtbiking and snowboarding?

Happy New Year everyone!

I hope you all had a great week and a fun and safe new years! I can't believe that 2016 is here already. I was thinking about it latley about how the one entire year in my mission, 2015, is already gone. It has gone by too quickly. I can't believe it. Time keeps on flying by faster and faster and there is no controling it. Its been pretty cool because our mission has started the Book of Mormon over and have a challenge to read it in 3 months. I have really enjoyed restarting my reading. It is just amazing how much power is in one single book. I know that I have said it a million times before, and I will probably say it a million more, but there is no better book on the face of the planet. As I have been reading it, I have been highlighting tips and ways to be happy in life. I have realized that that is something that everyone wants, no matter who you are. And its been amazing at what I have already found just within the first few chapters. The Book of Mormon will help anyone find true happiness.

We are excited to continue the work here in Mabini. We are slowly finding success. Although we are always tired and never seem to catch a break, things are going great. We are preparing someone for baptism on the 16 of this month. We are super excited.

I know that there are some of you who read this email and blog that are not members of the Church and I would just like to invite you to find out why I am actually out here. It is because I have found the most fufilling happiness and joy through reading the Book of Mormon. Yes, I can admit it that it is better than riding dirtbikes and snowboarding and all of that. With this new year I just want to help everyone I can find this amazing joy that I have found. Just try it, what do you have to lose?

Love you all! Have a great week and keep being the best!
