Hardships in your life? Read the Book of Mormon

Hey everyone!
This last week has been pretty busy. We had to go on splits again because Elder Uata had to go to the dentist. From the sounds of things, it was a pretty horrifying experience haha. He had just a little cavity and they just decided to rip the whole tooth out haha. Pretty sketchy.
But the work was decent this week. We stayed busy teaching lessons and meeting new people. I really enjoyed it. We had the baptism for Kathleen on Saturday and it was amazing. We had a really spiritual experience with it. I love this mission so much. I know this is right where I am supposed to be.
The language is going great. I am finally feeling pretty comfortable with it. Which is a good thing because it really sucks not being able to understand people or speak what you are thinking. But its going really well. I have realized that after the day is over and we are in the apartment, speaking English is a chore sometimes. hahaha
But I hope everyone is doing great. I love and miss you all. I just want you all to know that if any of you are going through trials or hardships in your life, just read the Book of Mormon. It will bring peace into your life faster than anything else. I know I have had trials and struggles, but I promise you that the Book of Mormon will help you with anything. Love you!

Week 29

Hey guys!
This week flew right on by again. I can't believe that the time is going by as fast as it is. Before I know it my mission is going to be halfway over! I am loving it so much here though. The work is going really well. We have a baptism coming up for a little 9 year old girl named Kathleen. She is really awesome. I am excited for her. We have a few other investigators that we need to work with some more. They are doing okay, just need some more help. One of them has a problem with drinking and smoking. We challenged him to cut back and slowly we will help him stop completely. So we will see how it goes. Its such a hard thing to quit, but we are hopeful that it will go well.
Nothing too crazy went down this week though. But we had a service project building roofs out of leaves which was pretty cool. It is actually harder than it looks haha. It was really fun though.
I love you all so much! Keep being awesome out  there in the old CO!

Blisters

Hey Guys!

I hope you all had a great week! My week was really really good. It was really busy. Elder Uata had to go to Cebu 2 different times so I had to go on splits for a few days. It was really fun. My first one I got to work with Elder Germaine for two days so it was awesome. It was really cool to see the growth since the MTC. The second time, my companion was Elder May, a brand new missionary. It was really fun to work with him as well. I was kinda nervous at first because it was going to be me leading everything and stuff but it went really well.

We had a service project yesterday where we built a bathroom. It was a good service project. We had to dig this huge hole and I got blisters all over my hands cause I haven't done any really physical work out here haha.

We are still working hard out here teaching lessons and meeting new people to share the gospel with. I love it so much. Hope you all have a great week!

Zambonguita Philippines

Hello Kamong Tanan!

I am sitting here writing yet another weekly email! Which is crazy because it feels like yesterday that  I wrote the last one. But this last week was a great one indeed. We have been doing good with staying busy. Even though our teaching pool right now is pretty small, we are still trying our hardest to tract and find the people who are ready for the gospel.
We had a lesson with this brother last night that was really good. The Spirit was so strong as we taught about our agency and how we need to use our agency for good. Of course we taught that sometimes doing evil may appear fun, but in all reality, it only brings more sadness and guilt. As we taught him to use his agency for good, he accepted the challenge to follow Christs example. It was a great lesson.
This last few days I have been studying about 1Nephi 8 which is about Lehi's vision of the tree of life. It is an amazing chapter. We all have much to learn from that chapter.

I love you all and miss you tons. Keep being awesome back in the good ole CO!

Transferred to Zamboangita

Maayong Buntag sa inyong tanan!
This week has been a great one. I am now here in my second area of Zamboangita! Transfers went really smooth. I was kinda nervous for it because I have never done it but it went well. I was able to catch a bus and head down south to my new area really easily. It took me about 6 hours total to get all the way down here. It was a long ride...ahahaha.
But this area is so awesome! It is a lot different than Toboso, but I am going to love it. My new companion is Elder Uata, from Provo. Me and him are getting a long really really well. As we go through out the days, we always joke and have fun with each other. Its good. We had a baptism for a sister that he has been teaching for a while now. Her name is Sister Beth. It was a great baptism.
Lately I have been thinking a ton about how much this gospel really means to me. Since being on my mission, I have learned so much and grown a ton. And it's all because of the gospel. I know that the church is true and can help anyone who accepts and lives by its principles. I love it soo soo much. But I hope you all have a great week! Love you all and miss you!
